down in the lime tree arbour

Oh, let's see.

I had the chance to see Fischerspooner and Ssion live last week and it was the best goddamn show of my life. Theatrics, dancers, videos, costuming, mirror tricks, and of course fantastic music. I was in the very front of the crowd pushed up against the railing, dancing my little heart out, and I'm totally gonna be in their tour film. I'll be the short, dykey, fauxhawked chick in a white v-neck. Ha! More details here at the blag.

I feel kind of unproductive, I need to haul out my paints and just do something. Work is exhausting, especially since I'm toiling away in retail trying to scrounge up enough cash to pay for fucking rent next semester. Uggghh being an adult sucks it.

Speaking of, even though no one knows who the hell I am, if anyone passing by is mad impressed by what I have to show here, feel free to hit me up for a commission. I'm fairly cheap (ha!) and don't have any delicate sensibilities to offend, so bring it on.

  • Listening to: einstürzende neubauten - neun arme
  • Reading: salman rushdie - the satanic verses
  • Watching: the tudors
  • Playing: the angel
  • Drinking: somewhat heavily

"Playing: the angel"

I see what you did there.

Also, envy. If Fischerspooner's shows are anything like their music videos, then they must be loads of fun. And pretentious as hell. But fun. ("What do you mean, it's not art?!")

*off to read the blag entry*

Is that what the cool people call it nowadays? A "blag"? I feel so old.

You're so on to me.

All the pretension and glee a FS fan could ever want! It was like watching a theatrical dance performance that happened to be using Fischerspooner as soundtrack... and Spooner as the lead. The energy level in the room was sky-high. The only upsetting thing was that the crowd was fairly small and ninety percent hipster dorkbags, but I mean... it happens.

Hee, I think "blag" may or may not be an xkcd reference.
